What helps when you call
None of this is required. If your house is hot and you have no idea what the system is doing, call anyway. But if you happen to know any of the following, the conversation gets shorter and more useful.
- What the system is doing. Running but not cooling, not running at all, cycling on and off, making a noise, leaking water
- When it started, and whether it came on gradually or suddenly
- What the thermostat is set to and what it currently reads
- Whether the outdoor unit is running, humming, or silent
- Whether it is the whole house or particular rooms
- Brand and rough age of the system, usually on a label on the outdoor unit
- Any breaker that has tripped, and whether it tripped again after being reset
If there is water coming through a ceiling, turn the system off at the thermostat before you call. See AC water leaks.

The office on Murphy Road
Getting here
The Murphy Road address is an office rather than a shop or a parts counter, and the people you would want to speak to are usually out on jobs. Calling first is considerably more productive than driving over.
Stafford sits between Sugar Land to the west, Missouri City to the south and east, and Houston to the north, with Interstate 69 running through the northwestern side of the city.
The map above is drawn by us from our own coordinates, using city limits from OpenStreetMap. It upgrades to an interactive Google map once you scroll to it.
